(Sr.) Scientist

Operating at the Radboud University Medical Center, Tagworks pioneers unique approaches towards antibody-drug conjugates, prodrugs, and targeted radiotherapeutics through its "Click-to-Release'' platform, rooted in Nobel Prize-winning research. To further strengthen the organization, we are looking for a (Sr.) Scientist.

The position
At Tagworks, the (Sr.) Scientist performs biological, immunological and preclinical laboratory research. You provide scientific guidance to the project team on the discovery and development of new antibody drug conjugates and you execute the work in the lab. You conduct scientific evaluations to identify novel target-antibody combinations.You keep the department up-to-date on the latest scientific developments and you share knowledge in the area of ADCs, in-vitro assays and in-vivo experiments. You design, manage and execute research- and pre-clinical development plans. You collect, analyze and interpret scientific results and you actively contribute to scientific publications, protocols, SOPs, presentations, patent applications, regulatory documentation and other documentation critical to enter the next stages of Tagworks’ product development. You contribute to research programs using both internal and external (CRO) resources, to achieve pre-clinical proof of concept.. .

The requirements
We expect our (Sr.) Scientist to bring

  • A MSc degree in Biomedical Science, Immunology, Oncology or Biology; a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience;
  • An article 9 certification and relevant experience with in-vivo research;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position in biotech, biopharma or pharma setting.
  • Preferably some experience in working with external parties, such as CDMOs or contract labs;
  • A “hands-on” and “roll up your sleeves” mentality and the ability to execute tasks as needed in a small company environment;
  • Experience with developing antibody therapeutics and ADCs;
  • Proficiency in English, oral and written.

You are a team player who can collaborate and work successfully with multiple key stakeholders. You have strong verbal and written communication skills. You are a highly motivated, resourceful individual who can set goals, shift priorities, work independently and collaborate effectively with project teams. Finally, you have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
